Bangkok, also known as ‘The Big Mango’, attracts record numbers of tourists every year and it’s easy to see why. There’s so much to do in Bangkok – and most of it around the Sukhumvit area of central Bangkok. From temples and shopping centers, to amazing restaurants, bars and nightclubs; Sukhumvit is a world of experiences for hungry travellers looking to create some great memories.

If you want to squeeze the most out of your trip to ‘The Big Mango’, you can’t do better than a hotel on Sukhumvit Soi 2. Because our hotel is located between Sukhumvit Soi 2 and Soi 4 (with exits onto both streets), you’ll have easy access to everything on your doorstep: from the famous Arabic restaurants of Soi 3, to the sights and sounds of Soi 4 (also known as Soi Nana) and the amazing nightclubs of Soi 11 – all just a stone’s throw away.

For travel to other parts of the city, taxis are convenient and cheap. For the more adventurous, there are the ‘motorbike taxis’, guys on mopeds with orange vests dart between the Bangkok traffic and will quickly take you on short journeys for a pre-negotiated fee. For the busiest hours though, we recommend using the BTS Skytrain or Metro rail service. It is clean, reliable and safe. If you’re looking to get out of town, the Bus Terminal just a couple of stops away on the BTS Skytrain at Ekkamai will take you to most parts of the country at very reasonable prices.

Getting to our hotel in Sukhumvit Soi 2 is easy – Lohas Residences is just walking distance from both Phloen Chit and Nana BTS Skytrain stations. Also, because Soi 2 is very near the start of the Expressway to Suvarnabhumi Airport, getting to and from the airport is easy. Taxi drivers may ask you “highway?”, or in Thai “tang duan”, which means they are asking if you’d like to go via the Expressway. The passenger pays the extra 50-70baht for using the Expressway (depending which way you’re going), but this can be well worth avoiding Bangkok’s famous traffic, especially at peak times.

And, when you want to relax after a night out on the town, Lohas Residences also has some great facilities to make you feel at home – there’s a rooftop pool, sun deck, jacuzzi, sauna and a gym. We’re here to make your stay as comfortable as possible.
